LITTLE WOOLPITE,

The Under Secretary of State,

Sir,

RECE PEG 4. JU

Skyrm

ce,

In continuation of my letter I beg to put before you for the nsideration of the Secretary of State the following suggertion with gard to the payment of increased pension to which I am entitled under

Long Kong scheme, which will enable me to receive what I am entitled without waiting a year for it, and at the same time safeguard the Hong ng pension account with the Crown Agents.

beg to insist that the first is as important a consideration as the cond.

suggest then

that an amount be determined for the months January to June which is se than the actual amount accrued due, end paid now;

the surplus to be a reserve to protect the Hong Kong account from loss; In the case of slight fluctuations in the value of the Mauritius rupee, which the amount due to me from Hong Kong has been made to depend, thrs nd to be debited or credited as the case may require;

if, from some sudden fluctuation this fund should become exhausted, e amount to be adjusted from the next monthly payment due; the whole to be finally adjusted at the end of the year.

the

bu will observe that this reduces the question to one of account merely: at it follows on the lines of the precedent already set in the case of aritius: and that it is a matter which it is competent for the Secreta-

of State to decide, on the advice of the Crown Agents, without reference Hong Kong, which will merely prolong the delay for another or 4 ths.

I am, Sir,

Yours obediently,

He Piss My
