drugs? We referred on pages 4 and 5 of the letter to the recommenda- tion adopted by the Assembly of the League at its recent meeting that the Governments should be invited to/the Secretariat with any
information concerning the illicit production, mami facture or trade in opium or other dangerous drugs which they think likely to be useful to the League in the execution of the task placed upon it by article 23 of the Treaty of Peace; and we suggested discussion between the Home Office, Foreign Office and Colonial Office to decide what
information should be commmicated. The British Government has,
as you know, a large amount of information with regard to the various aspects of the subject, and no doubt other Governments are in the same position. If the League is to do any good it is essential that all We have not possible information should be placed at its disposal.
yet heard from the Foreign Office in reply to the suggestion, but I shall stir them up in a few days if nothing comes in.
I sent you a note on the 26th Novembar raising one or two points which may come up at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be an important one and it is very desirable that we should be thoroughly well prepared.
