RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMISSIONERS.
In addition to the general recommendations to all the Eastern Ports we beg to submit the following special
recommendations for Hong Kong:-
1. That the necessary additional assistance should
be given to the Government Bacteriologist to
enable him to undertake the additional work involved
in the provision of facilities for free examination
of specimens.
That the Government should inform all employers of
the free services and drugs provided for practitioners
and ask those arranging medical contract service for
their staff to include treatment for Venereal Disease
infuture.
2. That a properly qualified venerealogist be appointed
to the staff of the P.0.M.O. and put in charge of
the facilities for free treatment for the Colony.
3. That free clinics should be opened at the Civil
General Hospital near the docks, the Tung Wah and
the Kwong Wah Hospitals, the personnel of their staffs being increased accordingly.
