In reply to Mr Grindle's letter of 15th instant (43608/21) forwarding a copy of a despatch (Gov. 285 of the 16th July last) from the Governor of Hong Kong, with
enclosed copies of a bill to extend the note issuing power
of the Mercantile Bank of India, Limited, up to the
13th August 1929, I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to request you to inform Mr Secretary Churchill that They concur in his proposal to approve the introduction into the Legislature of the bill
as drafted.
