With reference to your letter of the 21st instant,
regarding the national status of Mrs. Winifred Brewitt, I am directed by Mr. Secretary Shortt to say for the information of Mr. Secretary Churchill that according
to record in this Department it appears that Mrs. Brewitt is the British born widow of a German subject
and was granted a Certificate of Naturalization on the
4th October last.
