With reference to your letter No.31158/21 of the
23rd instant, regarding certain railway material lying at
Hong Kong, I am directed by Earl Curzon of Kedleston to
state, for the information of the Secretary of State for the
Colonies that His Lordship has no objection to the disposal
of the material, provided that:-
(1) The United States Consul-General at Hong Kong is acting
under instructions from his Government.
(2) The storage charges are paid to His Majesty's Government.
(3) His Majesty's Government receive an assurance that the
material is not destined for any White Russian organisation
for use either against the Soviet Government or the Govern-
ment of the Far Eastern Republic.
