With reference to your despatah No. 30 of the 4th. March, and previous correspondence relative to the ordinances and Orders in Council issued by Hie l'ajesty's Government regulating the operations of witish Companies in China and Long Kong, I have the honour to transmit copies of the

following documenta:-

The same bill in the form in which it passed the House of Lepresentatives and was introduced into the Senate on bril z8th., 1921.

H. k. report Bo. 13 accompanying X. R. 481), Statement regarding the soope und objects of the Bill ierued on April 23rd., 1923, by the United States Department of Commerce.

There appeare to de no serious opporition to the Bill

in Congress, and I bave no doubt that it will be finally passed and approved at a vory early date.
