Chapter 1: Nationality by original Right,
(1).
The following persons have Chinese mtionality:
(n) A person whose father is a Chinese citizen at the
time of the person's birth.
(b) A person born after the death of his or her father,
the father having been a Chinese citizen at the time
of his death.
(c) A person born in Chinese territory of a father whose identity is ascertaimble or of a father without nation-
ality, the mother being a Chinese citi zon.
(d) A person born in Chinese territory the identity of
certainable or both parents boring
both parents being
no nationality.
Chapter II: Acquisition of Chinese nation lity:
(2). A foreign national shall acquire Chinese nationality in
any one of the following events:
(A) on the person's becoming the wife of a Chinese
citizen.
(b) On the person's being recognized by his or her
father, the father being Chinese citizen.
(c) On the person's being recognised by his or her mother, the mother being a Chinese citizen and the
father being of 'nascertainable identity or not recognis-
ing his paternity.
(d) On the person's becoming the adopted child of a
Chinese citizen (added).
(s) On the person's being naturalised.(revised)
