Germans the liquidators would often have found it very
difficult to discover the facts, and the task would be
impossible now.
4. A certain amount of information with regard
to the claims of secured creditors is contained in the
liquidators' reports, as supplemented by the Custodian's report forwarded in my Confidential despatch of 15th
September. The only practical course would appear to be
for the German Clearing Office to take action on the
evidence afforded by these reports, together with such
further evidence as it may be able to obtain from interested
parties in Germany.
B. With regard to the particular case of Captain Bendixen, I have already requested in my despatch
No.437 of the 3rd of December that he should be asked to
forward his documents of title to property in Hongkong, and on receipt of these the matter will be further
considered.
