Dear Marsh,
I desire to thank you for your letter of the 23rd
instant enclosing copy of telegraphic communications on the
subt ct of an European interpreter with Cantonese qualifica- tions for *estern Samoa, in connection with which Mr. Massey wrote to the Secretary of State for the Colonies on the
14th instant.
I presume the Colonial Office will keep Mr. Massey advised of any further communications which may be received from the Governor of Hong Kong.
