War Office Report.

The following is an extract from his

War Office Report:- "He was reported upon as being an excellent regimental officer, ability and professional knowledge, power to maintain discipline, and leader ship, and capacity and fact fro training very good. He wa3 specially recommended for Staff employment."

Mr. C. Grenville Alabaster,0.F. E.,Barrister-at-law, Hong Kong, writes:- "I have been per sorally and intimately acquainted with Major C. Willson, 0.5. E, for about ten years and I have the highest opinion of his ability anu integrity both as a solicitor and as a man.

Mr.C.D. Wilkinson, Solicitor, Hong Kong, states that he has "a high opinion of his integrity and capability."

The following are extracts from despatches from

the Governor of Hong Kong:-

"On his return to the Colony early in 1920 Major Willson was appointed temporarily to act as Assistant Superintendent of Victoria Gaol during the acuance on leave of Mr. Franks and also as First Clerk at the Magistracy from the date of Mr. Woodcock's departure on retirement. Major Willson has performed the duties of both posts in

a satisfactory manner, and I shall be glad if Your Lordship will sanction his permanent appointment to the vacant post of First Clerk for which his personal character and experience render him suitable". (25th January, 1921)

"I need scarcely adu to the recommendation which

I have made in my previous despatch of the 25th of January. I would only observe that Major Willson is a man of good

health and physique, and appears much less than his real

age of 52."
