We European Officers Public Works Department Hong Kong
feel so dissatisfied with revised scales of our salaries,
in fact expressed in dollars are in many cases less than
pre-war salaries that we humbly petition Your Lordship to
withhold such scales and allow us to continue to draw
salaries, allowances and "ar Bonus on the scale hitherto
paid until Your Lordship has considered petitions which are
following.
Furthermore we humbly petition Your Lordship to grant
us additional temporary relief of ten per centum from
January 1920.
We further beg to ask that your decision may be sent by
cable.
