We, the undersigned Officera of the Public
Forks Department of Hong Kong thank Your Excellency for
the reply to our petition dated the 2nd. of June, 1920,
but regret that you are unable to grant our request,
As we consider our rvised scales of salaries
are very inadequate in fact expressed in Dollars are in
many cases less than pre-war salaries we respectfully ask
Your Excellency to telegraph at the earliest possible date
and at our expense the attached Petition to the Secretary
of State for the Colonies.
We pray that Your Excellency may see your way
to recommend our requests.
