I beg most respectfully to forward through
the Captain Superintendent of Police and for the considere-

Marine Light Infantry provided that I returned to the Royal Marine Light Infantry before the expiration of 18 years combined service, then serve for another 3 vears in the Royal Marines so as to complete 21 years for pension,
that is 21 years combined service in the Royal Marines and
Hongkong Police Force.
After serving 2 years in the Hongkong Police Force, myself
and others who came here on the same conditions petitioned
the Admiralty on the 27th of February, 1902, for our
discharge from the Royal Marines on condition that we
