H. G. R. Leonard, who has recently officiated as Chairman of the Directors of the Federated lialay States
Widows' and Orphans' Pension Scheme, is now on leave of absence in this country, and the High Commissioner has suggested that it would be of material assistance both to you and to the Directors of the Straits Settlementa and Federated Malay States Schemes if Mr. Leonard could meet you and discuss the details of the work to be

Mr. Leonard is accordingly being instructed to communicate with you direct with a view to arranging a meeting. You may prefer to wait until you have discussed the matter with Mr. Leonard before informing the Secretary of State as to the amount of your fees. You will also no doubt learn from Mr. Leonard what
information the Directors of the Schemes are in a position to furnish readily, and you will then be in a position to indicate what further information you
would require.
