Kong Widows and Orphans pension scheme which
have been the subject of correspondence bet-
ween your Government and my predecessors,
These are (1) the proposal made in Lord
Milner's despatch of the 23rd of April, 1920,
that new tables should be adopted based on
the assumption of 8% instead of 6% compound
interest being allowed by Government on the
balances of total receipts over total expendi-
ture:
and (2) the question whether an actuarial
investigation into the mortality experience
of the scheme should be undertaken.
2. In view of the doubt expressed in
