In reply to Your Excellency's letter 3731/1920 dated 14th January, 1921, I have the honour to inform you that Major C. Lawder was a retired officer of the Royal Horse
Artillery who was appointed supernumerary Captain in the
Hongkong Volunteer Corps on 6th August, 1914.
He was appointed Assistant Provost Marshal of this Command, and continued this duty until 12th March, 1915, when he was appointed acting Commandant Prisoners of War Camp. subsequently leaving for England on 27th August, 1915.
Further particulars are not available, neither is anything further known by the Commandant, Hongkong Volunteer Defence Corps, to whom reference has been made.
