I have today received a communication from the Crown Agents that the Government of Hong Kong have authorized a temporary increase of 25% to pensioners, to take effect from 1st January 1919 and inclosed pay warrant for arrears from that date.
Now that they accord respectfully to be allowed to withdraw my application of the 4th inst.
