I, the undersigned most humbly beg information if it is possible for my Resignation to be reconsidered and be reinstated to my former position in the Prison Department of Hong Kong

As myresignation was due to ill health since my arrival in England' which is now of the best, and desire to return to the Colony, and am prepared to undergo a Strict Medical Examination.

Should my humble Application be entertained, I beg to state that I am now Married and should need a Passage for my Wife.

I beg to state that I have a Chinese Colloquial Certificate, and that I am prepared to defray the cost of all Cables to and from Hong Kong.

I beseech that my humble Application be Entert- ained and meet with favourable approval.
