I have to acknowledge receipt of a letter from Smalley, who called on me. His recent call has not been found.
It appears that Smalley's salary is not clearly defined, and it is not possible to determine the exact amount due to him. I am given to understand that the Colony's accounts are being examined to ascertain the amount.
The C.A. has been authorized to pay £50 on account.
I am writing to ask for information regarding the salary scale to be applied to people in the Colony. It is not clear what the current scale is, and I wish to be informed.
