If you entertain my request it would be a great kindness if the Government will cable to Hong Kong with a view to my being taken on the Staff of the Hospital and also if the Government would advance to me a passage to Hong Kong for myself and two children. The passage money would, of course, be refunded by me if necessary and I am quite willing to give security for same, if required. In this connection, my brother-in-law, Robert Makwan, Hong Kong, who is presently in this country but returns to Hong Kong this month, is willing to stand security for me.
