sir,
I understand that under the revised scheme of salaries for
Cadet Officers of the Hongkong Government I am entitled to & salary of £750 per annum as from the lst January of this year, whereas at present I am being paid at the rate of £850 per
annum only.
The Crown Agents for the Colonies inform me that they cannot pay me any increase or arrears until they receive instructions
from the Government.
I have the honour, therefore, to enquire whether you can be
good enough to instruct the Crown Agents to pay me at the revised rate together with arrears from the 1st January 1920.
