In reply to Mr. Kam, Mr. Puckett, Mr. Grindle, Sir H. Lambert, Sir F. Read, and Sir G. Fiddes on 14th June, it was stated that on the recommendation of the Governor of Hong Kong, he was approved for a certain allowance payable from Hong Kong funds as a temporary measure of relief in view of the present high cost of living.
The increased pensions were to take effect from 1st January 1920.
Reference was made to Lord Milner and Mr. Amery regarding this matter.
