with the provisions of the Act. If Mr. Falk is to be required
to actually reside on store it means that he must give up his
employment for a period of twelve months, the Company losing his
services during that period,
May we point out that under Sec.2 (3) of the Act of 1914
there appears to be a discretion vested in the Secretary of State
to grant Certificates of Naturalisation in exceptional cases for
that sub-section gives him power not only to withhold certificates
but also to give them as he thinks most condusive to the public good,
We hope that in the circumstances which we have mentioned,
Mr. Falk's application may be granted and if there is any further
information which you desire to have for dealing with the matter,
we shall be happy to endeavour to obtain it for you.
