I am directed by the Earl of Elgin to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 7th of March forwarding
a report on your recent botanical mission through Uganda and to convey to you an expression of his Lordship's appreciation of the valuable investigations and discoveries which you have to record.
(2) The report will be printed for Parliament and copies will be supplied in accordance with your request.
(3) Aproof of the report will shortly be transmitted to
you for your correction.
