I am directed by the Managing Board of the above Service to
acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 8th May, 22083/20,
regarding claims for beneficial ownership in ex-German vessels
and to enclose a copy of a formal letter prepared by the Board,
from which it will be seen that, as suggested in the second
paragraph of your letter, the purport of the press notice has
not been correctly understood in Hong Kong.
