I have laid before the Lords Commissioners of
His Lajesty's Treasury your letter of the 13th instant (254/1919/20) regardin, the $1 note issue of the 2005 Kong and Shanghai banking Corporation.
In reply y Jords direct me to state that They concur in the proposal of the Secretary of State to approve the increase of the authorised issue of $1 notes up to
a limit of 2 million dollars on the same conditions as
are attached to the present issue.
by Lords also concur in the view that the tax of 1 which was waived for the period of the war only should now be reimposed on the issue of these notes.
