I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your
letter of the 8th instant (No. 635/1920) informing me that
there is no objestion to the acceptance by the Government of
Hongkong of bonds of the Government of the Straits Settlement☐
as part seturity for the Note Issue of this Bank other than
the Excess Note Issue.
I have to thank you for this information which is to-day
being passed on to our Head Office at Hongkong by cable.
