has been raised and delay asked for are the British American
Tobacco Company (China) Limited, and the Shanghai Life
Insurance Company, Limited.
The former is now prepared to move its headquarters
to Hongkong and as to its subsidiary company "A. Lopato Sons,
Limited" the fact that Mr. Lopato's duties are or can be made
supervision of manufacture and other purely technical matters
would in the opinion of the Crown Advocate and myself enable
his employment to continue without breach of the Order. The
latter Company has always been so entirely alien as not to
entitle it to any consideration.
