With reference to the enquiry from the
Colonial Office concerning Port and Harbour Dues in
Manila, forwarded in Foreign Office despatch No.22 of
December 2nd, 1919 I have the honour to report as
follows:-
None are imposed.
None except pilotage, which is not compulsory
Vessels under 1,000 tons net register P31.00
Vessels from 1000 to 3000
lotage Rates.
2.00 100 Centavos
= 2/1 pre-War rate of hange,
Vessels over 3000 tons

(Rates are the same inward and outwards).
On entry, 12 Centavos is levied per net ton,
as shown in ship'e Certificate of Registry.
or (at option of Master or Consigner)
35 Centavos per thousand kilos of merchandise
discharged or landed in Philippine Ports.
On export, all merchandise pays dues at the
rate of F2.00 per thousand kilos, this being
collected as Wharfage Dues.
I have the honour to enclose copies of a
recent publication containing a great deal of useful information on Pier Charges (when payable) and other
matters on which additional information may be of
service.
