We believe that the Authorities at Hong Kong have had this matter under consideration and it has been suggested that three unattended lights of the Aga (Stockholm patent) pattern be established on North Reef, Money Island, and Triton Island, the range of lights to be 20 miles in dear weather, the cost of upkeep to be maintained by the Inter-
national Board.
As the great representative body of the Captains and Officers of the Merchant Service, the Guild naturally are interested in all questions concerning the safety of life at sea and we earnestly trust that some aids to navigation may be placed on these most dangerous reefs which unquestion- ably, have been responsible for grave loss of life in the past. We trust, therefore, that we may have the sympathy and support of the Foreign Office in the matter.
