"THE LORDS OF THE COMMITTEE in obedience to His late Majesty's said Order in Council have taken the Appeal and humble Petition into consideration and having heard Counsel on behalf of the parties on both sides their Lord- ships do this day agree humbly to report to Your Majesty as their opinion (1) that this Appeal ought to be allowed and the Judgment of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong dated the 12th day of June 1918 set aside (2) that the Deportation Order dated the 15th day of January 1918 ought to be declared invalid and (3) that there ought to be no costs of the Appeal."
HIS MAJESTY having taken the said Report into con- sideration was pleased by and with the advice of His Privy Council to approve thereof and to order as it is hereby ordered that the same be punctually observed obeyed and carried into execution.
Whereof the Governor Lieutenant-Governor or Officer ad- ministering the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies for the time being and all other persons whom it may concern are to take notice and govern themselves accord- ingly.

Gentlemen,
when
Judgment in this appeal was delivered yesterday, the Board decided that the Deportation Ordinance of lv17 was valid and effectual, but that in the present case there hau been an error in the framing of the chargé against li bong wi which vitiated the proceedings against him, and they therefore
made allowed his appeal, and set aside the deportation order/against him, but did not allow him the costs of the appeal.
2. We shall obtain the full reasons of the Board 11 que course, and will send you prints thereof, which will form a useful suide to the Administration in hong Kong, in the event of any further proceedings under the ordinance becoming necessary.
