WHEREAS there was this day read at the Board a Report from the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council dated the 17th day of February 1920 in the words following viz. :—

WHEREAS by virtue of His late Majesty King Edward the Seventh's Order in Council of the 18th day of October 1909 there was referred unto this Committee the matter of an Appeal from the Supreme Court of Hong Kong between Li Hong Mi Appellant and the Attorney-General of Hong Kong the Honourable Edwin Richard Hallifax and the Honourable Charles McIlvaine Messer Respondents (Privy Council Appeal No. 39 of 1919) and likewise a humble Petition of the Appellant setting forth that on the 21st December 1917 the Appellant brought an Action in the Supreme Court against the Respondents claiming that certain actions and proceedings against him by the Respon- dents were ultra vires and wrongful that a Deportation Order made against him was ultra vires and wrongful that the Deportation Ordinance 1917 was ultra vires and also claiming other relief that the Respondents defended the Action and on the 12th June 1918 the Supreme Court gave judgment dismissing the Action: that the Appellant obtained leave to appeal to Your Majesty in Council: And humbly praying Your Majesty in Council to take this Appeal into consideration and that the Judgment of the Supreme Court dated the 12th June 1918 may be reversed altered or varied or for further or other relief in the premises:
