With reference to the telegraphic correspondence, noted in the margin, between the Governor of hong kong and the Secretary of State, in connection with an appeal to the Privy Council, in the above deportation case, I have the honour to state that the appeal was duly heard and to transmit, for the information of the Secretary of State, copies of the Judgment and of the King's Oraer, together with a copy of a letter from Messre. Burchell from which it will be seen that the decision was given in favour of the ́ Appellant.
