With reference to your letter of the 29th October, No.B.M/Sal. B/1908 (F.5.Cax.Hse.), and to our reply of the 31st October, I have the honour to remind you that we have not yet received payment of the sum of £17-14-2, claimed by us on behalf of the Government of Hong Kong in respect of expenses incurred in the interest of the War Department. We should be glad if you could arrange to settle the matter at an early date. It has now been outstanding since last June.
