I now have the honour to enclose a copy of a report from the Consult- ing Engineers, "essrs. Preece Cardew & Rider on the subject, Irom which you will note that they are unable to recommend an Automic System owing to the initial outlay involved being too nign.

Before taking further action in the matter we shall be glad to receive your instructions.
3. The Colonial estimate for the various items of the original Indent is considerably exceeded, and should you instruct us to proceed with this indent in its original form we shall require also authority for the additional expenditure.
