Admiralty to refer to your memorandum of the 1st November iday No.52236, and previous correspondence regarding the proposed

acquisition by the Anglo-Persian 011 Company of land at Kowloon, and to state for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies that it has been ascertained that

another Company, -the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company desirous of negotiating for a lease of this site with a view to erecting an additional oil fuel installation there.

2. My Lords are anxious that all possible facilities should be afforded for the erection of oil fuel installations by commercial firms on British territory, and I am therefore to request you to move Lord Milner,if he see no objection, to cause a cable to be sent to the Governor of Hong Kong instructing him to reserve the disposal of the site pending the outcome of the present negotiations.

3. I am to add that the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company will be informed that they should apply to your department for particulars of the terms on which the land could be leased
