With, reference to your letter No.80 of the 27th April 1919, I have the honour to inform you that this Government is now desirous of re-establishing the Peak Signal Station for the purpose of displaying the usual mail signals, etc., and as an additional meteorological station.

I should be glad therefore if the Naval Authorities would agree to a retransfer of this site to Government on the understanding that in the event of war it would be again handed over to the Naval Authorities for use as a Port War Signal Station.
