sir,

MAY 20

Admiralty, 27

25th May, 1920..

With reference to I.C.C.Paper No.191 and minute No.8 of the 12th meeting, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to enquire whether any arrangements have been made with the Hong Kong Government with a view to using the W/T station at Stonecutters for the transmission of time signals and meteorological bulletins.

2.-

A report has been received stating that the time signal at present transmitted by Cape d'Aguilar W/T station is unsatisfactory.

3.-

Their Lordships are of the opinion that it would be very desirable that these duties should, possible, be undertaken by the W/T station at Stonecutters

if and that the duties of Cape d'Aguilar W/T station apart from normal traffic should be confined to the transmission of gale warnings when required and the collection of weather data messages from ships.

Under Secretary of State,

COLONIAL OFFICE.

I am

sir,

Your obedient Servant,
