STATEMENT OF CLAIM.
The Plaintiffs are a limited Company with their
registered office at No.2 Kiukiang Road, Shanghai.

The Plaintiffs are and at all material times were the owners of the steamship Wollowra,
3. On or about the 30th November, 1917, the Goverment of the Colony of Hongkong requisitioned the said steamship took control of her and placed her under the management of Messrs. Dodwell & Co., Ltd., of Hongkong.
4. In or about April, 1918, the said Government restored the said steamship to the management of the Plaintiffs but retained control of her and her movements and engagements until the 31st day of January, 1919, when she was restored to the Plaintiffs her owners.
5. During the period that the said steamship was under the requisition or control of the seid Goverment the Government received in respect of the earnings of the said steamship the grose sum of 8835,465.89 and have paid to the Plaintiffs the gross sum of £238,793.55 and have retained as profit the sum of 8596,672.34.
The Plaintiffs have never assented to the Government retaining the said profit.
