Further details are not available but one large local Dock Company reports that they import Pig Iron, Steel Ingots, Steel Plates and Angles, &c., Auxiliary Machinery, Ship's Outfits, Engine Shafting, &c. as required for ship construction and repair to the extent of about £500,000 yearly.

The two largest Dock Companies report as follows with regard to the remaining questions:-
