I am directed by the Controller to refer to your letter of
and to inform you that the German Clearing Office
has been requested to endeavour to trace the debtor.
I am however, to add that in order to substantiate your C1.im under the Treaty it is necessary for you to prove that the Debtor was resident in Germany on 10th J. nuery,1920, and
to supply such particulars as will enable the German Clearing
Office to verify the claim. It is advisable therefore, that
you should make enquiries as to the present address of the
Debtor, as otherwise, if the German Clearing Office state that
they cannot trace the D. btor, you would apparantly not be able
to substantiate your Cirim before the i. ed Arbitral ? iburri,
t which you would have to appeal on the rejection of the claim
by the German Clearing Oljice,
