With reference to Your Lordship's telegram of
the 29th June, 1920, I have the honour to inform you that I concur in the suggestions of the Admiralty with regard to the improvements required at Cape D'Aguilar Wireless Telegraph Station and, as I informed you in my telegram of the 12th July, I should be glad if the Admiralty would be so good as to procure the necessary apparatus on behalf of this Govern- ment and despatch it to Hongkong.
I would refer Your Lordship also to Mr.
Severn's despatch No.243 of the 6th August, 1919, on the subject of a proposed Directional Wireless Telegraph Apparatuş A letter has been received from the Crown Agents for the Colonies, No.75W/Hongkong 2368 of the 23rd February, 1920, forwarding copies of correspondence between the Consulting Engineers and the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co.,Ltd., and I should be glad if steps might be taken to procure Directional Wireless Apparatus capable of being used in conjunction with the apparatus now being purchased by the Admiralty.
