Direction Finder Installation for Hong Kong.
We beg to acknowledge with thankę receipt of your letter of the 10th inst. and note that you desire to be supplied with a drawing showing the best position in which to erect the special direction finder aerial having regard to the positions of the existing aerial and downl eads and the relative position of the operating room. While we have the drawings showing the proposed layout of the mast and aerial system for the Hong Kong station we cannot be sure that these were worked to exactly and what, for example,
is the exact position of the building
relatively to the two masts, It is only possible to determine what would be the beat arrangement of the aerial when one is on
the station and can see what is the existing arrangement of the
downl en de of the main aerial and the lead in to the station
building and so forth. However, we are looking into this and
will write you later in the light of euch information as we are
able to obtain,
