Re: Direction Finder Installation

for Hong Kong.

Further to our letter of the 4th inst. Ref. KQ.29940 we have pleasure in enclosing herewith a schedule of supplies constituting a Direction Finder Installation such as we should propose to furnish for use at the existing Hong Kong Wireless Station to receive signals from ships at sea. Attached to the schedule is a pamphlet describing and illustrating the nature of the apparatus and the general features of a representative installation of this kind. The set offered will differ in certain points of detail from that described in the pamphlet, as it has been designed with a view to the particular purpose for which it is required at Hong Kong but we think that the schedule and pamphlet together will give all the requisite information as to the principles of working of the installation for which we are now quoting.

You will note that our quotation is exclusive of any Hast for the support of the Aerial but it includes the supplies

necessary for making up the Aerial itself on the site.

Preferably the direction finding station should be set up not

too close to the existing Transmitting Station and a separate
