REC 21 JUL 20

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

HONGKONG. 2nd June, 1920.

184

My Lord,

I have the honour to inform Your Lordship

that Captain B. R. H. Taylour, Harbour Master, will retire

from the service of this Government on the 28th August next

and that I have granted him three months' vacation leave

pending retirement. He left the Colony on the 29th May for England and the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been

instructed to issue pay to him as it becomes due.

Under the new salary scheme Captain

Taylour would have draw £1,000 per annum, but as his salary

hitherto has been £900 per annum plus 20% I have permitted

him to draw his former salary until he retires on pension, his pension being calculated on the maximum salary of the

post, viz. £1,000.

I have the honour to be,

My Lord,

Your Lordship's most obedient,

humble servant,

Governor, &c.

RIGHT HONOURABLE
