My Lord,
With reference to Your Lordship's despatch No.97 of the 20th March, 1920, I have the honour to inform you that as Mrs. J. L. Speed will participate in the general increase of 25% which has been granted in respect of Widows' and Orphans' Pensions and has also benefitted by the recent amendment of the Pension Minute as regards the widows of officers killed on duty, I regret I do not see my way to recommend that any further increase be granted to her.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient,
humble servant,
7.L. Stutts
Governor,&c.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
VISCOUNT MILNER, G.C.B.,
