I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that
my attention has been drawn to Section 12 of the Aliens Restriction (Amendment) Act, 1919, which provides that no
former enemy alien may act as master, officer or member of the
crew of a British ship registered in the United Kingdom, and
to enquire whether it is contemplated to introduce this restriction into Crown Colonies generally with regard to
British ships on Colonial registers.
