Dear Sir Ernest,
You will remember speaking to me just after the Memorial Service about the enclosed letter from Kr.Lane, Te difficulty is that owing to the scaroity of rassenger accomodation the Crown Agents are allotted a number of passages by the Ministry of Shizing on the express con- dition tɛat these are used exclusively for Officers and
not for t eir wives. The Crown Agents are in corr29- pondance with Mr. Lane and I am afraid t ́ere is nothing further that we can do in the matter though we quite realize the hardship which is involved if Ers.Lane is
kelt waiting for some time.
