7. When a Nursing; Sister who has been selected through the Colonial Nursing Association resigns her appointment on, or with a view to merrisge, she may, pro- vided that she is on the permanent establishment and has completed five years' service, and subject to the consent of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, be granted a gratuity calculated at the rate of one month's salary for each completed year of service, provided that such gra- tuity shall not exceed a maximum suum equal to the amount of her salary for twelve months.
B. ▲ Nursin; Sister is entitled to pension on re- tirement in accordaɑg with the Pension Hules in force in the Colony. The pensionable age, except in cuses of re- tirement on medical Touris, in fifty years.
9. It will be necessary for you to express your acceptance of the conditions statei in this letter before your selection can be completed. In other respects you will be subject to the Colonial regulations in force for the time being and to the General Orders issued from time to time by the Government of liong Kong. A copy of the latest edition of the Colonial Regulations is enclosed, The appointment is unier the Colonial Government and your emolumenta will be paid solely from the funds of the Colony. 10.
